Biryani Rice(kuska rice)

Biryani Rice, commonly known as Kuska Rice, is a delicious and aromatic South Asian dish loved for its simplicity and rich taste. Prepare the following ingredients: basmati rice, onion, tomato, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, whole spices (including cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and bay leaves), yogurt, fresh coriander leaves, mint leaves, ghee or vegetable oil, and aromatic Turmeric. A mixture of spices like powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala.

Instructions

Start by rinsing the basmati rice thoroughly until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes, then drain. Heat some ghee or vegetable oil in a large bottom pot or pressure cooker. Add all the spices (cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and bay leaves) and let cool until their aroma is released. Then add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden. Caramelized onions add a rich, sweet flavor to the dish. Add the ginger garlic paste and chopped green chilies to the pan. Sauté until the raw smell dissipates, which adds depth to the flavor. Now add the tomatoes and cook until they become soft and succulent. Then add yoghurt to the mixture. Yogurt not only adds a creamy taste, but also a slightly tangy taste that balances the spices of the dish. Add turmeric powder, red pepper, coriander powder and salt to create a base taste.

Now it's time to add the soaked and drained basmati rice. Gently stir the rice into the mixture to bring out the flavor. At this time, pour appropriate amount of water; Usually the rice ratio is 1:2 (one part rice, two parts water). You can adjust the amount of water according to the rice cooking instructions because the amount will be different. Cover the pot or pressure cooker and cook the rice over low heat until the rice becomes soft and absorbs all the flavors of the spices. Remember to fluff the rice occasionally to prevent it from sticking and ensure it cooks evenly. Finally, sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves and mint leaves.
