Paneer Tikka
Paneer Tikka is a North Indian dish believed to originate from the Punjab region. A popular appetizer in Indian restaurants, it is a versatile dish in Indian cuisine for special occasions and celebrations. Prepare the following ingredients: cheese, yogurt, ginger, garlic paste, red pepper, turmeric powder, Indian spices, cumin powder, vegetable oil, lemon juice, assorted vegetables (green pepper, onion, tomato), skewers, salt.
Prepare the marinade by combining yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, salt, vegetable oil and lemon juice in a bowl. Add cheese cubes and vegetables to marinade. Coat them thoroughly with the mixture. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or you can refrigerate it for a few hours for better absorption of flavors.
Preheat the grill or oven to high temperature (about 220°C or 430°F). Transfer the marinated cheese and vegetable slices to skewers.
Cook the skewers on the grill or in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the cheese and vegetables are charred and cooked through. Serve Paneer Tikka hot with mint-coriander chutney and lemon wedges.
