Sukha Puri
Making Sukha Puri, also known as Masala Puri is a culinary delight that combines a variety of flavors and textures. This delicious Indian snack is the perfect combination of crispy puri, spicy chickpeas, tangy chutney and fresh sauces. To begin this delicious journey, prepare the following ingredients: puris (wheat hulls, commercially available), boiled potatoes, cooked and spiced white peas or chickpeas, chopped onion, roe margarita chutney, green chutney (coriander, mint, green chilies and lemon juice), chaat masala, red chilli powder, cumin powder, salt and fresh coriander leaves for garnish.
Start by preparing spicy chickpeas or white peas. Cook until soft and season with Chaat masala, red chilli powder, cumin powder and salt as per your taste. Spicy pulses form the delicious base of Sukha Puri.
Now fill your Sukha Puri. Take the crispy puree and crush it lightly to form a layer of crushed puree on the plate. Top the mashed potatoes with a generous helping of spiced chickpeas or white peas. Sprinkle mashed potatoes, chopped onion and some tamarind chutney and green chutney on top.
